Comfort Care packages (inspirational and non-medical items)
As a recent survivor of breast cancer, I am all too familiar with the needs of someone battling the disease. When I could not work, I received financial assistance from an organization set up to assist individuals like me who needed to focus all energy on healing.
Therefore, I too have started an organization that will help those in need of meeting their financial obligations while they weather the storm. The My Sistah’s Pink Journey Foundation is a non-profit organization envisioned to support the whole woman as she recovers.
We would like to thank everyone who came out and supported My Sistah’s Pink Journey’s 3rd Annual Fundraiser Day Party. Without you, we at MSPJ would not be able to provide financial assistance to women who are battling breast cancer and fulfill our mission as an organization.
Thank you

My Sistah’s Pink Journey is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit foundation located in the heart of Detroit, Michigan. Established in 2017 by Dawn K. Floyd, MSPJ’s mission is to provide financial support and encouragement to women diagnosed with breast cancer and currently undergoing treatment. MSPJ seeks to help lessen external stressors, so patients can focus their attention and energies towards what is most important, fighting through the grueling battle of cancer and healing.
We would be honored to have your institution of learning partner with us to help support this worthy cause during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. MSPJ now offers four options for schools to support this initiative, including an option that allows students to earn community service project hours.
As an added incentive and to show our appreciation, MSPJ would like to acknowledge students by giving them a token of our appreciation and reward the highest earning class with a grand prize (i.e. pizza party, ice cream social, etc.) based on administration recommendation. Schools will also receive recognition via our social media channels and at our signature fundraising event held every October. Administrators who register to attend our signature event will receive recognition and reserved seating. More information about our event will be forthcoming.
Through the efforts of the Detroit Public Schools Community District, Carver Stem Academy and Chrysler Elementary were able to help women and their families. With your support, we will be able to help many more.
We thank you in advance for your consideration in supporting this initiative.
Sincerely,
Dawn K. Floyd, Founder-MSPJ
